Research has shown that a weekly Yoga class for older adults can improve physical function, mobility and balance. Yoga can also improve mental wellbeing. The classes focus on asanas (postures), the breath and relaxation. New members are very welcome. Classes are suitable for everyone, including beginners.

Jan was an HR Director in the Health Service. She has been practising Yoga for more than 25 years and holds the British Wheel of Yoga’s Teachers Diploma (a 500 hour course) and Gentle Years (chair yoga) certificate. Jan is also qualified to teach Yoga for Health, an NHS social prescribing initiative, and is taking part in a York University research project, funded by the NIHR, about the benefits of yoga for the older person.
We meet weekly on Wednesdays from 3.00pm to 4.00pm in the Main Hall, Haddenham Village Hall, Banks Park HP17 8EE.
£25.00 for a 6-week pass (which is valid for 8 weeks) or £5.00 per drop-in session.
